The RISM International Surveying Conference for Undergraduates (16th ISCU 2024) was held on 20 April 2024. It brought together more than 400 undergraduates from various areas of construction surveying, including quantity surveying, land surveying, property surveying, and building surveying, from local and international universities.
The conference, held at Dewan Sultan Ibrahim, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM) Batu Pahat, Johor, aims to expose all students to the profession of surveying in the era of the sustainable digital world. Sr Ahmad Farrin Bin Mokhtar, Director of CIDB Johor, presented the main presentation, “Sustainable Digitalised World: Charting The Future Of Surveying Professional.”
The presentation’s scope was comprehensive, providing insights into the role of a quantity surveyor in the sustainable digital world and offering updates on the construction industry in Malaysia. The conference also received an invitation from the Royal Malaysian Surveyors Association (RISM), further enhancing its significance.
