In conjunction with International Construction Week (ICW) and BuildXpo 2024, CIDB celebrates all individuals and companies directly involved in the construction industry throughout Malaysia by holding the QUEST 2024 awards day at MITEC, KL, on 22 October 2024.
At the same time, Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA), the leading affordable housing agency under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), and the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) collaborated by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Outlining the strategic collaboration, both parties agreed to continue strengthening the quality of the construction industry and the development of PR1MA projects.
The MoU was signed by YBhg. Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Nazri Bin Md Shariff, Group Chief Executive Officer and Member of the PR1MA Corporation, YBhg. Dato’ Sr Mohd Zaid Zakaria, CIDB Chief Executive, witnessed by YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Public Works, at the QUEST 2024 award ceremony.
These two organisations continue to strengthen the MoU collaboration between PR1MA and CIDB involving several key objectives such as the application of the latest construction technology such as Industrialised Building Systems (IBS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Quality Assessment System for Building Construction Work (QLASSIC) with the condition the PR1MA project requirement for QLASSIC is at least 70%, as is the Safety and Health Assessment System in Construction (SHASSIC).
