During its recent official working visit to Spain, the CIDB delegation seized an exceptional opportunity to engage with key agencies directly involved in implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the construction industry.
In meetings with the Madrid Municipal Council, BuildingSMART, and INECO, the delegation explored how European nations collaborate to develop a world-class digital construction sector. They also gained insights into the council’s process for managing BIM applications in projects.
The input received during these sessions will shape Malaysia’s BIM strategy, aligning with the Mesyuarat Tindakan Pembangunan Negara’s decision to expand BIM usage for new projects starting 1st August 2024.
