
The Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Works (KKR), organised the Motivation Camp Series 1/2025 from February 24 to 27, 2025, in Lumut, Perak, for national participants preparing to compete in the WorldSkills ASEAN 2025 and WorldSkills Asia 2025 competitions.
This programme is designed as a physically intensive training camp to test the endurance of 35 national participants who will represent Malaysia on the global stage. The objective is to train them to develop resilience and strong character in facing various challenges during the competition.

WorldSkills ASEAN 2025
The 14th WorldSkills ASEAN Competition is scheduled from August 26 to 28, 2025, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City, Philippines. This event will gather approximately 300 participants from the 11 ASEAN member states, competing across 32 skill areas ranging from technology to hospitality. The competition aims to elevate technical and vocational education and training (TVET) standards, foster regional collaboration, and highlight the skills excellence of ASEAN youth. Beyond the competitions, attendees can engage in technology exhibitions and networking opportunities, emphasising the region’s dedication to sustainability, innovation, and workforce development in a rapidly changing global environment.
WorldSkills Asia 2025
The 3rd WorldSkills Asia Competition is set to take place from November 23 to 27, 2025, at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei, Taiwan. This event is expected to attract hundreds of competitors across 26 skills and 14 junior skills, 6 future skills and 2 presentation skills. The competition serves as a platform for skills exchange and cooperation, aiming to enhance the professional standards of skilled individuals across Asia.
Both competitions are crucial in promoting skills development, encouraging excellence, and facilitating international vocational and technical education cooperation.
