Eversendai: Spearheading Iconic Constructions Globally

Eversendai Corporation Bhd, one of Malaysia’s premier construction firms, has been making waves globally by contributing to the development of several iconic landmarks, such as Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, Abu Dhabi’s Al Shams Sky Tower, Malaysia’s KLCC Twin Towers, and Merdeka 118. Recently, the company achieved another milestone with its involvement in the record-breaking One Za’abeel project in Dubai.

During a recent official visit to Eversendai’s largest steel fabrication plant in Sharjah, UAE, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi highlighted Eversendai’s remarkable contributions to the global construction industry.

He praised the company for setting the world record for the most extended cantilever building, part of the One Za’abeel project. The cantilever, known as The Linx, stretches an astounding 228 meters and connects two towers 100 meters above ground. Nanta emphasised that Eversendai’s use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology in the early stages of design and steel fabrication was instrumental in executing such a complex engineering feat.

Nanta lauded Eversendai’s steel fabrication plant, noting that it produces 150,000 tonnes of steel annually. The company employs 15,000 workers and operates five fabrication plants in Malaysia, Dubai, Sharjah, Qatar, and India. With over 300 completed projects globally, Eversendai has cemented its position as a leader in the construction industry. Nanta further described Eversendai as a source of national pride, showcasing Malaysia’s technical expertise on the world stage.

Tan Sri Datuk A.K. Nathan, Executive Chairman of Eversendai, also expressed his pride in the company’s global achievements, stating that the firm aims to “fly the Jalur Gemilang as high as possible” through its international projects, particularly with landmark structures such as Burj Khalifa and One Za’abeel.
