Construction TVET Trainees Urged to Venture into Entrepreneurship

Deputy Works Minister YB Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan encouraged construction TVET trainees to engage in entrepreneurship, in line with the aspirations of the Bumiputera Economic Congress 2024. This was revealed in the Friendly Ceremony with the Malaysian Construction Academy (ABM) Trainees and CIDB Tech Northern Territory.

Construction TVET Trainees Urged to Venture into Entrepreneurship

YB Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan highlighted the benefits of CIDB’s programme, notably the Bumiputera Youth Skills Entrepreneur Programme, to enrich construction entrepreneurs with business management training. More than RM 51 million was spent in 2023 on construction skills training, sufficient for more than 100 skill areas to be offered nationwide.

The areas of interest include Gas Pipe Fitter, Wireman Single Phase, Air-Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation, Scaffold Erection, and Plant Operation. After the ceremony, YB Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan visited the skills training facility at the ABM Northern Territory Complex with CIDB Chief Executive, YBhg. Dato’ Sr Mohd Zaid Zakaria.
