13 Dec 2023: CIDB and Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) celebrated 20 B40 youths excelling in Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation, marking a significant milestone at the (Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Talent Certificate Ceremony hosted by ABM Wilayah Tengah. Their training from August to December 2023 ended with the award of CIDB’s Construction Skills Competency Certificate (Sijil Kompetensi Kemahiran Pembinaan – SKKP).
Key figures, including CIDB Malaysia Deputy Chief Executive Razuki Bin Ibrahim and YSD CEO Dr Hjh Yatela Zainal Abidin, applauded the graduates’ success, supported by Sime Darby entities. Their collaboration emphasises competency training for workforce readiness.
Dr Yatela praised the graduates’ employment within Sime Darby, highlighting the importance of TVET talent for progress. Sime Darby Property Berhad’s role in securing jobs and special awards for leadership underscored their commitment.
CIDB reiterated its commitment to TVET’s success, citing graduates’ achievements as proof. The partnership with YSD aims to uplift underprivileged students, providing certified training and job placements.
Over four years, YSD and CIDB’s collaboration offered various training programs, ensuring graduates receive SKKP CIDB certification and guaranteed job placements. This collaboration underscores TVET’s value for individuals and the nation, propelling change in Malaysia’s workforce.
