PROMINENT PLAYER AWARD

This award recognises an individual who best represents the qualities and attributes of a prominent construction industry player and has significantly impacted the Malaysian construction industry, their company, the nation, and society. Selected based on nominations or recommendations from the MCIEA Panel of Assessors, the recipient embodies a commitment to the industry’s growth and development beyond personal achievement, inspiring in Malaysia’s construction landscape.

BUILDER OF THE YEAR AWARD

This award is presented to the Grade G7 contractor who demonstrates excellence across company performance and project implementation. The criteria are focused on leadership, experience, and conformance to standards, setting a benchmark for Malaysia’s highest level of contractors. This award highlights those continually raising the bar in quality and reliability in the construction industry.

INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

This award celebrates Malaysian construction service providers with outstanding and credible recognition in overseas construction ventures valued above RM100 million. Recipients are selected based on their ability to overcome international construction challenges and cultural barriers, their effective management style and operational practices, and their capability to project a positive image of Malaysia abroad. This award underlines the importance of a strong track record and world-class achievements that bring Malaysia’s construction expertise to the global stage.

THE BEST CONTRACTOR AWARDS

These awards honour local contractors who have shown remarkable company performance, technical capability, and adoption of best practices. The awards are categorised for each contractor grade: Best Contractor Grade G1, Best Contractor Grade G2, Best Contractor Grade G3, Best Contractor Grade G4, Best Contractor Grade G5, and Best Contractor Grade G6. Each of these awards celebrates the dedication and expertise of contractors across different levels, demonstrating that excellence can be achieved at any scale.

THE BEST PROJECT AWARDS

Recognising projects that exemplify overall excellence in project implementation, this award highlights outstanding work across planning, design, and construction. Appreciation and acknowledgement are extended to the clients, contractors, and leading consultants (project team) who bring these projects to life. The awards in this category are divided by project scope, recognising infrastructure and building projects in three tiers: small (contract value of less than RM50 million), medium (contract value between RM50 million and RM200 million), and major (contract value of more than RM200 million). This award affirms the dedication to quality and meticulous project execution across varying levels of complexity.
