The CIDB TV team was in Terengganu to follow a special OPK Kuala Terengganu 2023 operation. This pilot operation checks and monitors renovation works in the district of Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. This operation aims to ensure that the contractors are registered with CIDB, to advise and explain the requirements of written acts or regulations and to increase the public’s awareness of the importance of appointing a registered contractor.
“Specifically for home renovation projects, many mistakes were found. Among them are CIDB-registered contractors who have yet to declare the renovation projects being carried out. We hope that contractors are always aware that for any projects they acquire directly from the client or subcontractor, they must take responsibility for declaring the project to CIDB. The community, individuals, owners, developers and contractors should always be aware of the regulations outlined by the government in the construction industry.”
- Muhammad Rizuan Hamzah, Director of CIDB Terengganu
